Databricks buys spreadsheet startup Row Zero
Databricks has acquired early-stage spreadsheet startup Row Zero, TechCrunch reported on Sept. 24. Databricks plans to integrate spreadsheets as a work interface connecting AI agents and business intelligence. The company moved to buy Row Zero after confirming its finance team was using the cloud tool. CEO Ali Ghodsi said combining BI, agents and spreadsheets makes sense. Row Zero was founded by engineers from AWS and Tableau.
