Google adds AI voice features to Gmail, Docs and Keep
Google has introduced conversational AI voice features in Gmail, Google Docs and Google Keep, TechCrunch reported on Sept. 3. The tools, offered as Gmail Live, Docs Live and Keep Live, let users ask natural-language questions about their inbox, dictate content to help create drafts, and record notes without typing. The features are available in English on iOS and Android for certain Google AI subscribers, with plans to expand to Workspace business customers.

Google unveils Gemini 3.5 voice AI that understands 85 languages, handles interruptions
Google has overhauled its voice recognition AI lineup, unveiling Gemini 3.5 Live for its Gemini Live conversational assistant, along with Gemini 3.5 Live Experimental for developers and Gemini 3.5 Transcribe for speech-to-text. Reports said Gemini 3.5 Live improves handling of user interruptions and adds real-time visual processing and mixed-language recognition. Google said Transcribe cuts processing time by about 70 percent and lowers real-time error rates to 5.5 percent, working across 85 languages.

Google unveiled the Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, Pixel Watch 5 and a new item tracker called Pixel Tag at its “Made by Google 2026” event, expanding Gemini-based features across devices. The base Pixel 11 starts at $899 with 256GB storage. Pixel 11 Pro models add tougher durability features. Pixel Watch 5 adds health updates and starts at $399. Pixel Tag connects to Android’s Find Hub network and starts at $29.
