Shiba Inu taps Japan institutional market as new exchange picks approved assets

Shiba Inu was included among six approved cryptocurrencies at Laser Digital Japan, a crypto investment firm that completed registration with Japan\'s Financial Services Agency. U.Today reported the FSA approved the firm\'s registration on Aug. 21, marking the first license issued to a new crypto exchange in four years. The firm selected bitcoin, ether, XRP, bitcoin cash, litecoin and Shiba Inu as priority supported assets, enabled by Shiba Inu\'s presence on the JVCEA green list.

XRP joins Rakuten digital payment network in Japan

XRP has been integrated into Japanese conglomerate Rakuten\'s digital payment network, linking it with a user base of about 100 million. Rakuten users can buy XRP with Rakuten Points and convert their XRP holdings into Rakuten Cash for use at Rakuten merchants and online markets. Rakuten Wallet senior analyst Yasuo Matsuda (야스오 마쓰다) said the expansion provides a way to use XRP in everyday life.

Rakuten Wallet unveils first physical Shiba Inu coin targeting 44 million-strong Rakuten retail ecosystem

Japan\'s Rakuten Wallet has produced what it called the industry\'s first physical Shiba Inu (SHIB) coin, the fifth release in its collectible Real Coin series. The company said the metal commemorative coin is not linked to a blockchain and is not a payment tool. Rakuten Wallet plans to use it for offline marketing and events targeting Rakuten\'s 44 million-strong retail ecosystem, alongside preparations for large-scale giveaway campaigns.
