Amazon rehiring former employees after cutting 30,000 jobs
Amazon is moving to rehire former employees who left during past restructuring, with renewed recruitment seen in technology areas such as Amazon Web Services, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Reports said recruiters have contacted alumni about openings and in some cases offered streamlined re-entry processes. Amazon also asked some former staff whether its return-to-office policy was a key reason for leaving. The company said boomerang hiring is long-standing and not focused on RTO departures.
