Peter Schiff says bitcoin is not an inflation hedge; gold and silver are alternatives
Peter Schiff, known as a bitcoin critic, reiterated that bitcoin is not a real asset and cannot be compared with traditional assets such as gold, equities or real estate. He pushed back against a claim by crypto analyst Quinten Francois that bitcoin still has room to grow based on market-size comparisons. Schiff also rejected the idea that bitcoin is a hedge against rising prices, arguing that gold and silver are the appropriate alternatives. He added that AI is a threat to bitcoin, not a positive.
