Korea to back development of future fundamental convergence technologies
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will support development of fundamental convergence technologies that could reshape future industries. The ministry said it selected 24 institutions to carry out new tasks under its 2026 \"Future Promising Convergence Technology Pioneer\" programme. It will fund 18 challenge-type projects across 10 fields and 6 projects in three emerging technology fields. Support ranges from 400 million to 1.2 billion won annually, depending on project type.
