Ku Hyuk-chae discusses R&D regulatory rationalisation with young researchers
Ku Hyuk-chae (구혁채), first vice minister of science at the Ministry of Science and ICT, held a meeting with researchers at Chung-Ang University on April 15 to discuss measures to rationalise on-the-ground research and development regulations. The visit marked the 14th step in the “Project Empathy 118” initiative. Participants discussed difficulties involving administrative forms, research fund use and settlement, fund disbursement and software subscriptions.

Ku Hyuk-chae visits bio research site, checks AI science ecosystem
Ku Hyuk-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, visited Bionexus on March 19 to review bio research using artificial intelligence. He also held a meeting with industry and research officials including Upstage, Rebellions and the Korea Basic Science Institute. The visit was part of Project Empathy 118. Ku discussed policies to build a cooperative ecosystem between bio and AI under the K-Moonshot strategy.

Ku Hyeok-chae visits IBS to discuss steps to boost quantum competitiveness
Ku Hyeok-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at the Ministry of Science and ICT, visited the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) on Tuesday and held a meeting with researchers at its 2D quantum heterostructure research group. The trip was the 12th stop under Project Empathy 118 and aimed at shaping directions for fostering basic quantum science under a newly announced national plan. Researchers discussed talent development, materials self-reliance and stronger industry-academia-research cooperation.
