Perplexity launches \'Brain\' memory system for AI agent Computer
Perplexity has introduced a memory system called Brain for its AI agent, Computer, to store past task history and user edits. Decrypt reported the feature raised answer accuracy for repetitive tasks by 25 percent, improved recall by 16 percent and cut costs for context-heavy work by 13 percent. Perplexity said Brain records connectors, sources, edits and failed attempts, updates an overnight wiki and reloads it before tasks. It is available as a research preview for Max and Enterprise Max subscribers.

Perplexity opens \'Personal Computer\' to all Mac users
Perplexity has opened its local AI agent, \'Personal Computer\', to all Mac users, TechCrunch reported on May 7. The AI agent can access local files, applications, connectors and the web to handle multi-step workflows. The service was previously available via a waitlist for Perplexity Max subscribers when it was first unveiled last month. Personal Computer supports more than 400 connectors and processes data within Perplexity’s server security isolation environment.

Perplexity has launched a new tool, \'Computer\', that uses AI agents to automate complex work across research, design, coding, deployment and management within a single system. The platform orchestrates multiple frontier AI models to run workflows automatically, with Anthropic\'s Claude Opus 4.6 as the core engine. It runs in an isolated cloud environment with access to local files, a real browser and tool integrations. The service is limited to Perplexity Max subscribers and is expected to open to Enterprise Max users.
