Meta’s personal AI agent app Muse has risen into the top ranks of the App Store, emerging as a flagship product for the company’s AI strategy. Business Insider reported that since its launch Meta shares have risen more than 20 percent. The development was not smooth, with early versions showing awkward English and inconsistent responses. Google in talks for $1.5 billion deal to license Mechanize technology, targets AI coding expansion
Google is in talks with AI coding startup Mechanize over a deal worth about $1.5 billion, including securing a non-exclusive licence to its technology and hiring some staff involved in model evaluation and development. Mechanize, founded last year, is developing simulation environments, evaluation benchmarks and scoring systems to train AI agents. Google is considering using the technology to strengthen coding performance as its coding agent faces competition from Anthropic and OpenAI.

Zuckerberg steps up AI race, resumes coding beside researchers
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has moved his desk next to the company’s AI researchers and has begun coding himself, according to reports. As competition in generative AI intensifies, Zuckerberg is getting more deeply involved in development and in reshaping Meta’s AI business. Meta President Dina Powell McCormick said he sits in the AI lab with Alexandr Wang and Nat Friedman and codes all day.
