MySQL steps up community-led growth and boosts AI features
Oracle is accelerating community engagement as part of expanding its open-source database MySQL and has overhauled its governance system. Heather VanCura (헤더 벤큐라), vice president for external standards and community engagement, said the strategy focuses on adding new features to the community edition, increasing transparency in development and expanding contributions through the community. Oracle is rolling out the plan in three phases and is now in phase two, with phase three possibly finishing around October.

Cafe24 to lower vibe coding deployment barriers with AI Space server setup automation
Cafe24 launched AI Space, an AI-based conversational interface that supports work from code generation to web service implementation, it said on Monday. The company said AI Space automates technical steps needed to release services created through so-called vibe coding, including server setup, domain connections and SSL certificates. It supports links with major AI tools and MCP-based integrations, multiple languages and databases, and provides subdomains and web-console monitoring.

Microsoft releases Database Hub for unified management of Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
Microsoft has released an early access version of Database Hub, an integrated console for managing databases across edge, platform-as-a-service and Fabric. The hub supports Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Arc-enabled SQL Server and Azure Database for MySQL. It includes native visibility, delegated governance and Copilot insights. Microsoft also added a preview migration assistant for SQL databases in Fabric and released private network support for Cosmos DB mirroring to OneLake.
