Meta steps up global expansion of Muse with launch in Japan

Meta has launched its personal AI agent, Muse, in Japan, marking its first release outside North America, Japan Today reported. Users can give instructions to Muse by text or voice through a dedicated smartphone app, with basic features available for free. Linking Muse to Gmail and Google Calendar enables it to summarise unread emails and manage schedules. Meta plans to add integrations with Mercari and Money Forward ME.

Meta acknowledges losses at AI assistant Muse, Zuckerberg signals turnaround next year

Meta set next year as the point when it expects profitability to improve in its loss-making AI and hardware businesses. Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said the AI assistant Muse and Reality Labs are not currently generating profit, but he expects better profitability from next year. Anthropic unveils self-starting AI assistant Claude Duet

Anthropic unveiled Claude Duet, a personal AI agent that can review connected apps, compile tasks and carry out some work without user prompts. Offered in research preview to waitlisted paying Claude subscribers in the United States, it runs on Claude Opus 5.5 and is available on web and standalone Android and iOS apps. Anthropic said it is included at no extra cost in its $20-a-month Pro and Max plans, while usage limits apply and security safeguards are in place.
