Samsung Electronics held its Southeast Asia home appliance tech seminar, The Brief, at its Business Experience Studio in Hanoi. The company demonstrated AI home scenarios such as refrigerator-based food management, reporting and recipe recommendations, and introduced remote support services and up to seven years of free software upgrades for Wi-Fi models. It also presented HVAC products tailored to the region and showcased SmartThings Pro, while citing growth in Southeast Asia and Oceania B2B sales and HVAC B2B share.

Samsung Electronics won four innovation awards at IFA 2026, Europe’s largest home appliance exhibition, being held in Berlin through Sept. 8, it said on Thursday. The awards are part of a programme launched by IFA Berlin in 2025. Samsung received one top innovation award and one innovation award in the design category, and two innovation awards in the home appliances category.

Samsung redesigns wind-free air conditioner after 7 years, launches AI model that adjusts airflow by user location
Samsung Electronics has launched its 2026 AI WindFree air conditioner that detects a user’s location and adjusts airflow. Marking 10 years since the WindFree technology debut, the company changed the design for the first time in 7 years and added sensor-based cooling control. It unveiled two lineups, a stand-type and a wall-mounted model. New features include multiple airflow modes, improved cooling time, energy-saving functions and a dehumidification feature.
