Midjourney develops 60-second full-body ultrasound scanner, claims 100 times faster than MRI
Image-generation AI company Midjourney says it is entering the medical device market and developing a full-body scanner that visualises internal structures in 3D. The company says its ultrasound-based system uses about 500,000 miniature acoustic units and AI computing to process terabyte-per-second data and build millimetre-level maps. It aims for speeds up to 100 times faster than MRI. Midjourney plans prototypes, a San Francisco facility in 2027 and FDA approval efforts.
