Korea CAIO Forum launches, aims to share AX experiences

The Korea AI Association and Samil PwC have launched the Korea CAIO Forum. The organisers held an inauguration ceremony and commemorative seminar on May 7 and shared operating plans and a vision for the forum. The forum aims to establish private-sector-led AI governance and build a national industry-academia-research consultative body. Presentations covered corporate operating model redesign, compliance guidance for the AI Basic Act, and support systems and projects for small firms.

KT joins Defense AI Leaders Forum as co-chair, signs MOU

KT is moving to build a cooperation framework to lead AI innovation in the defence sector. The company joined the Defense AI Leaders Forum as a co-chair at its launch ceremony in Seoul and signed a three-party memorandum of understanding with the Korea Defense Innovation Technology Security Association and the Korea AI Association. The forum presented five core visions, including contributing to defence AI policy and strategy, developing key technologies, nurturing talent and establishing trustworthy AI systems.
