AhnLab showcased its cyber-physical system (CPS) security solutions at Japan IT Week Spring 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 8 to 10. The company operated a booth with its Japanese subsidiary and partner Mikasa Shoji, highlighting its OT endpoint security solution AhnLab EPS and its integrated CPS security platform AhnLab CPS Plus, which protects OT environments and connected IT areas.

Tech industry steps up alliance as fears grow over AI misuse in hacking
Concerns are growing that cyber attackers could misuse increasingly advanced AI. AI model developers are moving to provide new models on a limited basis to selected companies, including security firms, to help prepare for cyber attacks. Anthropic launched Project Glasswing to let chosen companies use its Claude Mythos Preview for security purposes and said rivals, including OpenAI, could join. OpenAI also plans restricted early access for a security-focused model.

Hancom steps up push into Japan market with AI and biometric authentication
Hancom said on April 9 it signed three strategic memorandums of understanding with major Japanese companies at 2026 Japan IT Week Spring in Tokyo on April 8. It showcased digital trust solutions spanning AI, biometric recognition and electronic document technologies. Hancom will jointly pursue biometric authentication and verification systems targeting Japan’s finance and enterprise markets, and collaborate on membership management and sign-up screening systems. It also plans to localise services and enhance eKYC linked to JPKI.
