Sam Altman says people will not want an AI CEO, accountability needs a person
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said people do not want an AI chief executive and that major corporate decisions must be tied to someone who can be held accountable. Speaking on a podcast, he said the world wants to know who is responsible when a company makes a wrong decision. He also said people prefer working with other people, and he sees human trust, judgment and responsibility as distinct from AI performance.
