PC DRAM price rise slows, demand broadening in focus
Global PC shipments rose 4 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier, defying expectations of weakening demand, as suppliers and distributors built inventory ahead of higher memory costs, Gartner said. While PC DRAM prices are still climbing, the pace of increases is easing, IBK Investment & Securities said. Intel and AMD are expanding AI PC lineups, while premium monitor displays are gaining traction, adding to focus on second-half demand.

KT launches Park Yun-young leadership, pledges slimmer organization and AI B2B push
KT has named longtime insider Park Yun-young as CEO, approving his appointment at a shareholder meeting. The company is moving quickly on executive reshuffles and organisational streamlining, including a broader regional structure and simplified reporting lines. KT also plans to bolster AI-based B2B business through a new AX division and integrate its media unit into the customer division. It is also focusing on recovery from last year’s unauthorised micropayment incident.

KT appoints Park Yoon-young as new CEO at shareholders meeting, dividend set at 600 won
KT held its 44th annual general meeting on Tuesday at its research and development centre in Seoul and appointed Park Yoon-young as chief executive. Shareholders approved nine agenda items, including financial statements, partial amendments to the articles of incorporation and director appointments. KT approved 2025 consolidated revenue of 28.2 trillion won and operating profit of 2.47 trillion won. It set a fourth-quarter dividend of 600 won per share, to be paid on April 15.
