MSIT expands Codyssey training to develop 200 AI talent in Daejeon and South Gyeongsang
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT begins recruiting from May 6 for the Innovation Academy\'s Codyssey AI Native trainees to support AI transformation in industries in Daejeon and South Gyeongsang. The new centres will also run an AI All-in-One course later this year. About 200 trainees will be selected, around 100 per region. Selected trainees will receive scholarships of up to 1 million won per month for five months.

MSIT opens applications for first CODYSSEY practical AI training cohort
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Innovation Academy on Tuesday began recruiting trainees for the first intake of the practical AI specialist training programme CODYSSEY. The AI all-in-one course runs for up to 18 months, including a one-month initial training period, and covers core AI skills from programming to deep learning and natural language processing. Applications run through March 23, with 150 to be selected after evaluation.

MSIT holds digital youth talent talk concert at CES
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held the “Digital Youth Talent Talk Concert@CES 2026” in Las Vegas on Jan. 6 local time, hosted by the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation. About 300 outstanding digital young people selected from talent development support programmes attended. The ministry said it arranged the event to help participants respond to rapid AI and digital change and design future careers.
