CJ ENM unveils AI feature film \'Apartment\', says AI is next after CG
CJ ENM unveiled its AI feature film \'Apartment\' at an event in Seoul, combining live-action performances shot on an indoor greenscreen with AI-generated backgrounds and visual effects. The company said AI reduced production costs, with the 1-hour film costing 500 million won, and improved efficiency, including finishing filming in four days. Executives cited limits such as inconsistent backgrounds, resolution gaps and difficulty generating Korean settings, and said they will expand AI pipelines across dramas, films and advertising.
