Pulmuone steps up digital transformation with app overhaul, expanded AI use and IT expert appointments
Pulmuone is accelerating its digital transformation through an app overhaul and broader use of artificial intelligence across operations. The company plans to appoint a new outside director with digital strategy experience at its regular shareholders meeting on March 31. Pulmuone has set up an AX innovation office and carried out executive reshuffles to expand AI use group-wide. It is also applying AI to product development, customer review analysis and meal demand forecasting.

2026 to mark clearer proof of quantum advantage as quantum AI era blooms
An IBM Korea executive said quantum computing is no longer a far-off technology and 2026 will be a stage to confirm clearer quantum advantage. He forecast a quantum-centric supercomputing era in which QPU, CPU and GPU work together to support large-scale computing. Another speaker said combining quantum and AI will become a source of national competitiveness and called for nurturing quantum talent. Officials and experts at an IITP event reviewed industrial changes driven by quantum AI.

Piolink hires former IBM executive Jang Myung-ki as business division head
Piolink said on Jan. 7 it hired Vice President Jang Myung-ki to reinforce the capabilities of its business division and expand its market. It also appointed Vice President Lee Sung-min, the former head of the business division, as head of its Japan business unit in a two-track reshuffle aimed at bolstering domestic and overseas operations. Jang previously worked for IBM Korea for more than 30 years in IT sales across industries.
