Overseas operators still lack accessibility to privacy policies
South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission said the average score in its 2025 assessment of privacy policies across 50 major services in seven sectors rose to 71, up from 57.9 a year earlier. Samsung C&T’s HomNiq ranked best overall, while domestic connected-car operators scored highest on adequacy. Some overseas operators received lower marks on readability and accessibility, and cases of formalistic policies were again found.
