Harvey unveils Tenet, its first in-house legal AI model
Legal AI startup Harvey has unveiled its first in-house large language model for legal work, Harvey Tenet. The company has grown a legal software business valued at $11 billion while relying on external models such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Harvey aims to reduce costs and gain greater control by shifting more work to its own engine. It also built legal reasoning data with lawyers and trained Tenet on an open-source model.
