Crypto exchange listings shift as memecoins fall and tokenised assets rise
Centralised exchange listing trends in the first half of 2026 shifted quickly away from memecoin-led speculative themes toward tokens tied to real-world use, an analysis showed. Reviewing more than 10,000 listings across 10 major exchanges, the report found the focus moved to blockchain infrastructure, decentralised finance and tokenised assets. Tokenised assets rose to nearly 1 in 5 listed tokens. Memecoin listings fell for six straight quarters, while GameFi additions also dropped sharply.

Bitcoin liquidation heatmap: Reading crowded price zones before sharp drops
A bitcoin liquidation heatmap can help gauge where price volatility may increase by showing where leveraged positions are concentrated, the Crypto Basic said on June 5. The tool overlays exchange data such as open interest, leverage and margin levels on a price chart. When liquidation orders cluster at certain levels, price moves into those zones can trigger cascading liquidations. Examples cited include a February drop and large liquidations on HTX.

HTX delists Trump family-linked stablecoin USD1 as address freeze dispute escalates
Crypto exchange HTX has halted support for the Trump family-linked stablecoin USD1 and delisted related trading pairs. HTX said issuer World Liberty Financial froze an exchange-related on-chain address without prior consultation, restricting some assets linked to the address. The exchange said it will convert users’ USD1 holdings to tether (USDT) at a 1-for-1 ratio, with details to be announced later. HTX criticised the freeze as lacking communication and transparency and said it is considering legal action.
