Coupang CEO Dae-jun Park apologises for data breach, vows to prevent further damage
Coupang CEO Dae-jun Park issued a public apology in Seoul over a data breach that began in June and was found to have exposed information from about 33.7 million accounts. The leaked data included names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and certain order details but not payment, credit card or login information. Coupang said it is working with government and industry agencies to prevent further damage and is reviewing changes to strengthen its data security systems.
