POSCO Future M to jointly develop advanced battery materials with U.S. Sila
POSCO Future M said on March 13 it signed an MOU with U.S. battery materials company Sila to jointly develop advanced battery materials. The companies aim to combine POSCO Future M’s cathode and anode technologies with Sila’s silicon anode technology. They plan to use carbon nanomaterials to address volume expansion and structural deformation during charging and discharging and extend battery life. They will also review ways to improve cost competitiveness.
