Uber cuts work time by 80 percent with AI, investment payoff unclear

Artificial intelligence tools are spreading rapidly across Uber’s internal work, from Q&A to customer support and sales preparation, former employees said. Some said AI cut task time to one-fifth, while managers encouraged use of Google Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Uber also runs an internal Slack chatbot. At the same time, former staff said the company reduced credits for some AI services after failing to confirm productivity gains matching costs.

AI search startup Glean says tokens 70 percent cheaper than Claude CoWork - how?

AI search startup Glean is stepping up its offensive against Anthropic, targeting token costs and data security issues. It released an internal evaluation saying its AI assistant was far cheaper than Anthropic’s Claude CoWork app when performing more than 180 tasks. Glean said it used 70 percent fewer tokens and its average charge per task was 81 percent lower, citing routing software that assigns tasks to different models.

Anthropic adds always-on \'Claude tag\' AI teammate to Slack

Anthropic has launched an always-on AI teammate feature called Claude Tag on Slack in a research preview, TechCrunch reported. The feature is available to Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers and lets users tag @Claude in channels to get insights or assign tasks. Claude Tag continuously remembers channel conversations and work history so it can follow earlier context. Administrators control what tools, information and channels it can access.
