UMB discloses holdings in Franklin XRP ETF as financial firms add XRP spot ETFs

U.S. asset manager UMB Private Wealth disclosed holdings in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ) in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission third-quarter filing. It held XRPZ worth $100,316 as of Sept. 30, although the filing does not show whether the position was proprietary or client assets. The ETF, listed by Franklin Templeton in 2025, holds XRP directly. Other institutions, including Advisornet Financial, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, also reported holdings.

BNY, Citadel Securities complete trade using tokenised U.S. Treasuries to cut collateral transfer time

BNY and trading firm Citadel Securities have completed a transaction using tokenised U.S. Treasuries, CoinDesk reported. The trade was intended to show that tokenised Treasuries can be used immediately as collateral for borrowing after settlement. Banks and trading firms often borrow short-term funds using Treasuries as collateral, but moving securities between accounts and settlement systems takes time and ties up assets. BNY plans to expand digital cash and tokenised deposit functions and extend operating hours for certain settlement systems.

Stellar fees drop despite weekly busiest day, upgrade effect in focus

Stellar (XLM) cut its average transaction fee to a seven-day low on a day when network usage was at its highest for the week. It recorded an average fee of $0.00012 on Oct. 11, while processing about 12 million transactions at an average 139.15 transactions per second. The shift comes after the Stellar Protocol 28 “Adapter” upgrade, including CAP-83, designed to speed consensus. Other ecosystem indicators, including real-world assets, have also grown.
