Meanwhile raises $37.5 million to expand overseas sales
Bitcoin-based life insurer Meanwhile, backed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has raised $37.5 million, The Block reported on Oct. 9. The round was led by Bain Capital Crypto, with existing investors including Hun Ventures, Framework Ventures, Pantera Capital and Apollo participating. The Bermuda-based firm said total funding has topped $180 million. It reported assets of 1,183 bitcoin at end-2025 and forecast profit growth this year.

Cantina has raised $8 million, pitching a platform that automates security response work after vulnerabilities are discovered. SiliconANGLE reported on July 30 that Framework Ventures led the investment. Founded by security researchers and engineers known for finding major software flaws and defending against attacks, Cantina deploys AI agents across customer environments to automate investigation, prioritisation, remediation and verification following discovery, focusing on post-processing rather than detection.

TVL Capital raises $5 million to speed ETP on-chain push
TVL Capital, an institutional digital asset infrastructure company founded by former Morgan Stanley digital asset markets head Andrew Peel, has raised $5 million. The round was led by San Francisco-based venture capital firm Framework Ventures. TVL Capital plans to use the funds to strengthen its engineering and business development capabilities and speed the launch of its chain-traded product, or CTP. The company describes CTP as an on-chain version of exchange-traded products.
