NPCore to supply SOC Prime detection rule platform in South Korea
AI-based new and variant malware response solution provider NPCore said on Feb. 9 it has started full-scale sales in South Korea of SOC Prime, a global threat detection rule platform, as the country’s exclusive reseller from February. NPCore said it will supply the Prime platform to key domestic security operations environments and provide technical support and operating services. The company said SOC Prime provides detection rules within 24 hours of new cyberattacks.

Industrial security startup Claroty raises $150 million
Industrial equipment security startup Claroty has raised $150 million in funding, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 22. The round was led by Golub Growth, with existing investors also participating. Claroty’s valuation increased 80 percent to $3 billion. Claroty provides technology that collects security data from devices isolated from networks by analyzing backup files. Its platform also detects vulnerabilities and intrusion attempts, and it plans to expand globally and pursue mergers and acquisitions.

Bitcoin could hit $150,000 in 2026; only Ethereum and Solana to survive among alts
Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi said bitcoin could reach $150,000 in 2026, while its market dominance may gradually slip from about 59 percent. He sees 2026 as a year with both positive and negative forces, as institutional participation grows and real-world blockchain use expands, but differences widen between strong and overvalued projects. He also expects consolidation in DeFi and altcoin strength centered on Ethereum and Solana.
