Zcash breaks $1,600 after new ETP debuts in Europe, but rally started earlier

Zcash (ZEC) rose above $1,600 as a new exchange-traded product launched in Europe expanded investor access. 21Shares listed a physical-backed Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam under the ticker ZCASH. The product charges a 2.5 percent annual fee and uses BitGo as custodian. CryptoSlate reported Zcash had already been trading around $1,540 before the listing, with interest in a separately launched Grayscale Zcash ETF cited as a driver.

21Shares lists Europe\'s first Zcash ETP to boost access to privacy coin

Europe\'s first exchange-traded product tracking Zcash has launched, giving investors exposure to the token without holding it directly. Asset manager 21Shares listed a spot Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam and also listed a spot ETP tracking ETHFI, with annual fees of 2.5 percent each. The listings follow the launch of a Grayscale spot Zcash ETF in the United States and come as Zcash has risen sharply over the past year.

Capital B bitcoin holdings up 12 percent but per-share value stalls

French bitcoin treasury company Capital B increased its bitcoin holdings by 12 percent in three weeks, but its diluted satoshis per share were virtually unchanged as its share count expanded by a similar rate. The company raised funds through shares with attached warrants and also uses bitcoin-linked convertible bonds. A 10-for-1 reverse split effective Sept. 8 could further distort per-share metrics. Capital B adopted a bitcoin strategy in November 2024 and reported losses tied largely to bitcoin impairments.
