Elastic unveils AlertZero AI agents to cut security alert overload

Elastic unveiled an AI agent team called AlertZero aimed at reducing alert overload in security operations centers. Built into Elastic Security, it supports alert triage, threat hunting and forensic analysis. The company said customers can adjust automation down to task level, with human approval required when decisions are unclear. AlertZero comprises four agent groups that enrich alerts, track threats, propose detection rule changes and conduct malware and exploit-path analysis.

Open Secure AI Alliance launches with Nvidia and global partners; SK Telecom and Naver join

The Open Secure AI Alliance, a consortium to develop and share open technologies, techniques and tools to protect software and agents in the AI era, is launching under the lead of Nvidia and global companies. Nvidia and founding members plan to jointly develop and share open models, agent harnesses and security tools supporting responsible AI use and improved trust. SK Telecom and Naver are among the participating South Korean companies.

Microsoft unveils Surface RTX Spark Dev Box desktop for AI development

Microsoft unveiled the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a desktop supercomputer for developing AI agents, at its annual Build developer conference on June 2. The company said the device offers up to 1 petaflop of AI computing performance and 128 gigabytes of unified memory, and can run models with up to 120 billion parameters under 4-bit quantisation. Microsoft plans to launch the product in the United States within this year.
