Southeast Asia to pursue five subsea power cable projects by 2040, governance seen as key

Energy think tank Ember said ASEAN subsea interconnection projects must prioritise joint planning, cost-sharing standards and a marine governance framework. Gnosis, zkSync announce Ethereum Economic Zone to address Layer 2 fragmentation
Gnosis co-founder Friederike Ernst (프리데리케 에른스트) and zkSync founder Jordi Baylina (조르디 바일리나) announced the Ethereum Economic Zone at the ETHCC conference in Cannes, The Block reported. The Ethereum Foundation co-funds the initiative, which aims to build a framework linking rollups synchronously within a single transaction. EEZ-linked rollups can call mainnet or other EEZ contracts, using ether as the base gas token without separate bridging infrastructure.
