Morgan Stanley bitcoin spot ETF listing nears; 5 indicators in focus
Morgan Stanley is entering the market by launching its own bitcoin spot ETF, with investors watching whether low fees and its advisory network reshape competition. The Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) is to list on NYSE Arca, with trading set to start on April 8 Korea time. Morgan Stanley to start BTC, ETH, SOL trading on E*Trade in 2026
Morgan Stanley will begin offering trading in bitcoin, ether and solana on its subsidiary E*Trade platform in the first half of 2026. Zerohash will provide the technology infrastructure. The bank also plans to launch its own digital wallet in the second half of 2026, with the wallet expected to evolve beyond storage into infrastructure for tokenised-asset trading. In private markets, it is reviewing tokenisation to improve trading and settlement efficiency.

Morgan Stanley to expand crypto investment, launch digital asset wallet
Morgan Stanley will launch a digital asset wallet this year as it moves to expand cryptocurrency investment, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 8. The wallet will support cryptocurrencies and real-world assets and later include stocks, bonds and real estate. The bank plans to support trading in bitcoin, solana and ethereum via its E*Trade platform from 2026, and has also filed with the SEC for spot bitcoin and solana ETFs.
