Woori Financial shifts consumer protection to preventive system
Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it held a group financial consumer protection council meeting at its headquarters a day earlier and decided to pursue a shift to a prevention-focused consumer protection system as its 2026 strategy. It aims to move away from post-incident responses by managing risk factors in advance across the design, sale and operation of financial products. Twelve consumer protection chiefs from the group and subsidiaries attended.
