Discussions to enact South Korea\'s Digital Asset Framework Act have entered final coordination, but disagreements remain among politicians, financial regulators and the industry over limiting major shareholders\' stakes in digital asset exchanges. A plan to cap stakes at 20 percent, with exceptions up to 34 percent in some cases and a three-year grace period, is being considered. The National Assembly Research Service has raised possible constitutional issues, and opposition politicians have criticised the plan.

Coinone said a staff member responsible for market surveillance in its user protection team received a commendation from the chief of South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service. The employee was recognised for monitoring abnormal transactions by digital asset operators under the Digital Asset User Protection Act and contributing to trading order and user protection. Coinone said the staff member led efforts to rationalise monitoring standards through communication with the FSS.
