Coinone supports refunds of 7.5 billion won in voice phishing losses over three years
Coinone said it helped support refunds of about 7.5 billion won in losses from voice phishing and other telecommunications financial fraud over the past three years by cooperating with investigative authorities and financial firms. From October 2023 to September 2026, it said it worked with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to directly refund about 2.47 billion won in 83 cases. With partner bank KakaoBank, it supported returns of about 5.01 billion won across 412 cases.

DigitalX provides compliance training for all employees
DigitalX has moved to strengthen controls over “high-risk transactions” that involve manual employee work, such as airdrops, event rewards and mistaken transfers. The company said on Oct. 22 it held second-half 2026 compliance training for all employees, led by its risk management division. The programme covered processing procedures by transaction type, approval standards and reporting systems. It also reviewed internal controls to prevent mispayments and basic compliance rules.

Authorities flag about 30 digital asset unfair trading cases; basic act to include account freezes, rewards
South Korea\'s financial authorities completed investigations into about 40 cases of unfair trading in digital assets over two years after the Digital Asset User Protection Act took effect and referred about 30 cases to investigative agencies. The suspects total 25, with average illicit gains of about 1.4 billion won per case. Most cases involved market manipulation, including so-called \"racehorse\" and \"fish trap\" schemes. Authorities also imposed penalties and are considering account and payment freezes and rewards for reporting unfair trading in a planned digital asset law.
