China develops high-performance electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries, maintaining 84 percent capacity after 350 cycles
Chinese researchers have developed a new electrolyte system for all-solid-state batteries that maintained 84.15 percent of its initial capacity after 350 charge-discharge cycles. The team at the Chinese Academy of Sciences\' Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics applied a PVDF-based gel composite electrolyte and focused on reactions between lithium oxychloride and PVDF to improve bonding and ion conduction. The study did not provide figures for energy density, driving range or charging speed.
