Motif builds proprietary tools instead of Nvidia software for homegrown AI foundation model development
Motif Technologies, a developer of proprietary AI foundation models, is seeking differentiation by using its own platform rather than Nvidia software tools. It says using Nvidia’s general-purpose tools makes it hard to beat big tech firms with superior computing power. Chief Executive Jung-hwan Lim said Nvidia tools limit developer flexibility and can lock users into Nvidia’s ecosystem. Motif uses Nvidia GPUs and CUDA but replaces Nvidia’s model development tools with in-house software.

Nvidia to hold \'Nemotron Developer Days Seoul 2026\' in first event in South Korea
AI computing technology company Nvidia will hold \'Nvidia Nemotron Developer Days Seoul 2026\' from April 21 to 22 at D.CAMP Mapo in Seoul. The event marks the first time the Nemotron Developer Days, previously held only at GTC, will take place in South Korea. It will convene local AI developers, researchers and ecosystem leaders for in-depth sessions, discussions on sovereign AI and practical activities, including a hackathon.

D.Camp holds D-Day event, shares results from six startups in batch 1
D.Camp said on Friday it has concluded its D-Day event aimed at sharing performance by its first batch of startups and pursuing follow-on investment and strategic partnerships. D.Camp CEO Park Young-hoon shared one year of operating results under the D.Camp 2.0 system and presented the growth process and significance of batch 1. Six companies participated, and about 300 attendees discussed cooperation possibilities.
