Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 to get final major OS update in 2026, S8 and A9 next to lose support

Samsung Electronics\' Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series will receive their final major Android update at the end of 2026, supporting up to Android 17-based One UI 9, after which only security updates will remain. The Galaxy Tab S8 series has already entered the final stage of major OS support, while the budget Galaxy Tab A9 line has a shorter cycle. Newer tablets from 2024 adopt a 7-year update policy, with rugged models following separate terms.

Bitcoin tests reclaiming 20-month moving average, CryptoQuant says it is prelude to new high

Bitcoin is trying to break back above its 20-month simple moving average ahead of a test of a new record high, an analysis said. CryptoQuant put the 20-month average at $87,165 as of Oct. 16 and said it is a key long-term trend line and the midpoint of Bollinger Bands. The firm described the area below that line as an accumulation base and said past breakouts have led to new cycle highs, while noting resistance and sell orders remain.
