Schneider Electric nears $20 billion acquisition of PTC

Schneider Electric is nearing a deal to acquire U.S. engineering software company PTC for about $20 billion, the Financial Times reported on Oct. 4, citing sources familiar with the matter. The deal could be announced as soon as Oct. 5, though the two companies are still in talks and there is no certainty it will be completed. PTC has a market value of $15.5 billion.

Executives said the approach helps manage complex development environments efficiently and supports AI-based decision-making, with continued support planned for Korean manufacturers.
