Cardano to pursue two-stage Dijkstra upgrade through 2027 to boost throughput and speed finality
Cardano will pursue its Dijkstra network upgrade in two stages through 2027. The first phase focuses on expanding network throughput, while the second aims to shorten transaction finality times. The roadmap, disclosed via an Intersect document, targets code completion of Ouroboros Linear Leios in the fourth quarter of 2026 and introduction of Ouroboros Peras in the second quarter of 2027. A public testnet called Musashi Dojo is being used for validation.

Cardano van Rossem hard fork nears ratification, constitutional committee has one vote left
Cardano’s next major upgrade, the van Rossem hard fork, is nearing ratification, with only one constitutional committee vote remaining, U.Today reported. On-chain voting has met most thresholds, including support from community representatives and stake pool operators. Four of five required constitutional committee approvals have been recorded. The hard fork can be ratified on July 13 or July 18, with July 18 as the expiry date.
