Codegate Security Forum launches global fellowship to train AI white-hat hackers
Codegate Security Forum said it will introduce a Global Fellowship, a key project aimed at fostering next-generation AI white-hat hackers. The forum announced the plan on July 27 at the opening ceremony of Codegate 2026 held on July 24. Hancom Group, the event organiser, plans to support the fellowship, including creating scholarships and designing education programmes. The forum plans to recruit the first cohort in September after finalising the curriculum.

Codegate 2026 ends on high note as \'AI hacker\' takes part
South Korea\'s largest international hacking defence competition, Codegate 2026, wrapped up after a two-day schedule with white hackers from around the world taking part. The Ministry of Science and ICT held the event at Seoul\'s COEX, combining a contest and a security conference. Japan\'s BunkyoWesterns won the general division, while South Korean junior competitor Kim Jun-won won the junior division. An invited \"AI hacker\" also competed.

Codegate 2026 to open July 23 with human vs AI hacking showdown in focus
The Codegate Security Forum will hold Codegate 2026, an international hacking defence contest and global conference, on July 23-24 at COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul. The event’s theme is “The Path Toward a Top 3 Global AI Power: Security”. A jointly developed “AI hacker” with KAIST will compete in the finals alongside human white hackers. The finals draw 3,333 participants from 88 countries, with total prize money of 71 million won.
