OpenAI has begun a phased rollout of its latest AI model, GPT-6 Astra, starting with some companies in its application-based cybersecurity programme, Daybreak. Astra is the first model to reach a \'critical\' level under OpenAI’s internal cybersecurity standards, and access to its advanced security functions will be restricted. The rollout comes after recent security incidents that prompted OpenAI to strengthen safety controls and apply additional safeguards to Astra.

OpenAI is testing a feature that lets some ChatGPT Plus users immediately reset their usage limits by paying an additional fee. The option appears alongside the $20 monthly subscription and allows weekly usage to be restored instantly. OpenAI said it is an early experiment for a limited group as it considers ways for users who hit limits to buy more usage. The move follows a Codex reset system introduced in June.
