Home bitcoin miner hits 3.14 BTC jackpot with 14 rigs
A solo miner has successfully mined a bitcoin block using only home mining equipment and received 3.14 BTC in rewards. The miner used 12 Canaan Avalon Nano 3S units and two Avalon Mini 3 units to mine block 951771. The combined hashrate was about 147 TH/s, with estimated odds of about 1 in 6.7 million. The miner reportedly used Braiins Solo, which supports independent mining without running a full node.

Crypto mining hardware maker Canaan faces Nasdaq delisting risk
Cryptocurrency mining hardware maker Canaan has received a delisting warning from Nasdaq, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 19. The stock has fallen 63 percent over the past 12 months and has traded below $1 at the close for 30 days, violating Nasdaq rules. Nasdaq granted Canaan a 180-day compliance period. The company is considering steps including seeking an extension and a reverse stock split.
