Polymarket files for U.S. margin trading, seeks futures broker registration
Polymarket has submitted an application to provide margin trading in the United States. If approved, users would be able to bet on events with less capital than usual. The Block, citing the National Futures Association’s BASIC system, reported that ComingHome GBA sought approval related to futures commission merchant registration through PM Derivatives. Full rollout of leveraged trading would also require approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Trump bitcoin strategic reserve faces legal, jurisdiction hurdles
U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for a strategic bitcoin reserve is facing legal and jurisdictional problems, The Block reported on July 6, citing Bloomberg News. The plan would be funded with bitcoin already held by the government from criminal and civil seizures and a separate digital-asset reserve. Bloomberg reported questions over whether the Treasury can legally manage the reserve and whether it could be held indefinitely given bitcoin’s volatility.

Block S selected for KISA post-quantum cryptography pilot in finance sector
Block S, a company specialising in enterprise quantum transformation, was selected for the Korea Internet and Security Agency\'s 2026 post-quantum cryptography pilot transition project in the finance sector, it said on Thursday. The company will verify the feasibility of transitioning to post-quantum cryptography in real-world financial environments. It plans to strengthen an integrated enterprise service lineup spanning crypto-asset diagnostics, PQC security transition, quantum education and industry-specific quantum computing use, and expand applications to other sectors.
