Korea Investment Securities launches campus investment education at Chung-Ang University
Korea Investment Securities said on Thursday it has begun its on-campus investment education program for university students, called the HanTu Campus Tour. The first session was held on Feb. 4 at Chung-Ang University and covered practical basics including stock trading methods. The company also introduced its student mock investment competition and its BanKIS Buddy supporter program. About 120 students attended, asking questions ranging from technical chart analysis to using open APIs.

Brokerages revive cash promotions, but only for domestic stocks

Brokerages are now targeting domestic stock investors with cash payments, coupons and fee waivers. Firms have ended foreign-stock promotions early while rolling out local-stock events. Korea Investment Securities said it will start its “Reboot Korea 2026, Now is Korea Investment” campaign. The campaign aims to help customers more easily feel investment opportunities and participate in the market, going beyond expanding trading to broaden investment experience and provide practical long-term benefits. From this month, the firm will run events for new accounts and domestic stock transfers in, including share giveaways, 1-year fee discounts and benefits of up to 5.01 million won.
