Koscom to complete next-generation Anyang data centre by end-2026

Koscom said on March 13 it is building a next-generation data centre in Anyang, with completion targeted for the end of 2026. It began construction in November 2024. The company plans to apply an ESG-based eco-friendly design, introducing solar equipment on the building exterior and rooftop and adopting energy-efficient equipment. It also plans to reinforce structural stability to withstand strong earthquakes and secure redundant supply routes for major facilities.

MSIT holds meeting on securing ultra-gap solar cell technology

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it held a meeting of solar cell researchers in Daejeon on March 10 to share the status of technology development and progress on research tasks. The ministry said the meeting discussed ways to secure \"ultra-gap\" solar cell technologies to lead the next-generation market and heard difficulties in R&D. Researchers presented results including 26.3 percent efficiency in a perovskite-CIGS tandem solar cell, and participants called for full-cycle support for early commercialisation.
