Koscom said on March 13 it is building a next-generation data centre in Anyang, targeting completion by the end of 2026.
Koscom began construction on the next-generation centre in November 2024. It plans to apply an ESG-based eco-friendly design, introducing building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) on the exterior walls and rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities. It also plans to use energy-efficient equipment.
It plans to reinforce structural stability so the facility can withstand strong earthquakes. It also aims to secure redundant supply routes for major facilities to build a stable data centre.
