China\'s Z.ai unveils law-focused AI \'GLM-Legal\' for contract review, country-specific compliance
Chinese AI startup Z.ai has unveiled GLM-Legal, an AI model specialised for legal work such as contract review, negotiation and drafting regulatory documents. The model is based on GLM-5.3-Flash with additional training, and its operating “harness” has been optimised for legal tasks. A benchmark table released by the company compares it with GLM-5.3-Flash, Kimi K3, Claude Fable 5 and GPT-6 Astra, with GLM-Legal outperforming some tests.
