IBM CEO says firms rethink security spending in AI era; U.S. cybersecurity stocks jump

U.S.-listed cybersecurity stocks rose broadly after IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said companies are reassessing security budgets as AI spreads and cyberattack risks grow. He said customers are shifting IT spending toward AI infrastructure such as servers and memory while rapidly raising their guard against security threats. Okta, Netskope and CrowdStrike rose about 10 percent, with several others up 7 to 8 percent. Krishna also said uncertainty is delaying some large contracts.
