Microsoft joins AI data standards group Apache Ossie
Microsoft has joined Apache Ossie, an industry group aimed at helping AI tools more easily access application and database data, The Information reported on Sept. 29. The report said Microsoft drew criticism about four months ago after blocking partners from connecting data management tools to Power BI. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the move but did not explain why. Microsoft said it will work with Snowflake and the industry to help customers reuse semantic context across ecosystems.
